What I Actually Used from My Hospital Bag

Updated: Sep 7, 2020

As you get closer to your due date, you'll hear people telling you to get your hospital bag ready. And yes, I would agree! If you're like me, you'll probably do a ton of research about what to pack and get everything in their months before you're due. But I found that with all the blogs out there telling me what I would need, I actually didn't need as much as they said. So, being the mom that I am, I put together a list of items that I actually did need so that you can get a quick and easy guide during the nesting period. These are items I highly suggest having:

In my 4-day hospital stay, all I really used while I was in bed was my phone charger, socks, nursing bra, and slippers. I didn't even get up to take a shower (because of the pain I was in) until the third day. Don't judge me. You can bring things for the baby to wear but I didn't use anything other than her blanket to swaddle and keep her warm. I wanted to have easy access to skin to skin which is SUPER important when you have a newborn.
