My Margarita Moments

Margaritas are like the sun. I need it to survive. Okay, that might be an embellishment, but I sure do love my margaritas. I'm a bit of a tequila snob who is picky with my mix. It has to be the perfect balance between sweet and tart. The juice has to be fresh. The tequila has to be top shelf and it can't be too sweet. Say goodbye to that horrible tequila mix and hello to the perfect fresh margarita.

Ingredients:

  • 1/5 oz. Top shelf blanco tequila

  • 4 Large Lemons

  • 4 oz. of Lime juice

  • 2 TSP Honey or Agave

  • 4 oz. filtered Water

Recipe:

  1. Put 2 TSP of honey or agave in a glass cup. Put 4 oz of water on top and heat in the microwave to melt for 25 seconds. Stir the mixture to blend the contents.

  2. While that cools off, take your lemons and cut them in half. Squeeze the juice into a shaker. I use a fork to help extract more juice.

  3. Add the lime juice to the lemon juice. Add the water and honey mixture to the shaker and shake with the lid on.

  4. Pour over ice and enjoy!
